Jud Wimhurst studio is a vibrant pop art filled colourful apartment bursting at the seams with Jud’s wildest creations.
Turn the door handle and you walk into a spacious 60 metre apartment with balcony. The lounge room features Jud Wimhurst skate board sculptures and a giant bang pop art wall creation.
Jud Wimhurst talks about his sculptures as naughty indulged children and a weekend in his suite will make you feel the same.
Guest access
The building’s security system, with intercom and security gate, will lead you through to a lift that was designed by Jason Sims and features a light show titled “Infinity” to take you up to your floor. The rooftop is accessed with your swipe card.
Interaction with guests
Guests can collect their key and swipe card from [MARS] Gallery during business (10AM-5PM daily) hours, or via a coded key box after hours. Guests are welcome to message or email a [MARS] team member via email or phone, with any questions during their stay.
Free Rooftop Yoga
Guests are invited to join a free yoga class on the MARS rooftop at 8.30am each Thursday. Cyan will lead you through a 45 minute session tailored for beginners and advanced yogis.
Locality
Chapel Street is one of Melbourne’s trendiest streets, filled with great cafes, delicious restaurants, bars and cafes. Go a little further afield to South Yarra, for the high end culinary delights and in nearby Prahan, you will find the famous ‘Prahan fresh food Market’, famous for its high quality produce.
Public transport
Windsor train station and the 78 tram is within 2 minutes from James St, with plenty to discover on foot.
